Conflits, débats et accommodements - Hervé Guillemain</lom:string></lom:title><lom:language>fra</lom:language><lom:description><lom:string language="fre">Forgée à une époque durant laquelle les médecins n'étaient guère assurés de leur position centrale dans la société, l'idée d'une opposition entre médecine et religion est restée forte au sein de la représentation progressiste d'une science vouée à réduire ce qui été consolidée par la mise en avant de figures de savants investis dans l'effort de construction de la République Hygiéniste, par le récit de la laïcisation des institutions hospitalières, et par la mise en avant d'indices de désacralisation de l'acte de soigner. La médicalisation se développant en symbiose avec la laïcisation, tel est le schéma qui paraît surgir des discours dominants de la fin du XIXe siècle.
