A. La naissance du Grand Conseil : Florence, novembre-décembre 1494;
B. 1494-1512 : le débat interne et l'institution du gonfaloniérat à vie (1502);
C. 1512-1527 : la première restauration des Médicis;
D. 1527-1530 : la seconde République du grand conseil;
E. 1530-1537 : La restauration définitive des Médicis : Alessandro de Medici (1530-1537) ; élection de Cosimo I (1537).
